HERNANDEZ, A FEME SOLE OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF No. 291 PARK BOND FUND THE SUM OF $5,070, OF WHICH AMOUNT $4,950 1S FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL No. 5 AND $120 1S FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSE AND RELATED COSTS, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT No. 291 -64 -4, ELGIN PARK, SAID PARCEL BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: LOT 20, BLOCK 2, EL REY ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 8, PAGE 52, MAP RECORDS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS. SECTION 2. THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, WITH THE OWNER OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL, DOLORES S. HERNANDEZ, A FEME SOLE. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED AND TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL FOR THE ELGIN PARK PROJECT CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECES- SITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECES- SITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT �FROM IAND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE 444() DAY OF MARCH, 1970.
