BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF N0. 207 PUBLIC BUILDING BOND FUND THE SUM OF $3,092.00, OF WHICH AMOUNT $3,000.00 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 1, FLOUR BLUFF FIRE STATION N0. 14, AND $92.00 IS FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSE, RELATED TO TITLE CLOSING COSTS, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 207 -64 -2, FIRE STATION N0. 14 SITE FLOUR BLUFF, SAID PARCEL BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: LOTS 11 AND 12 IN BLOCK 2, OF FLOUR BLUFF GARDENS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, AS SHOWN BY THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME 11, PAGE 27 OF THE MAP RECORDS OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS. SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, WITH THE OWNER OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL, MARY LEE GRABOWSKE. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED AND TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL FOR THE FIRE STATION N0. 14 SITE FLOUR BLUFF PROJECT, CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRO- DUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE DAY OF APRIL, 1970.
