HomeMy WebLinkAbout09726 ORD - 04/22/1970JKN :4-22 -70 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING LOTS 13 AND 14, BLOCK 2, FLOUR BLUFF GARDENS, TO BE SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE WATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7.02 OF THE DEED OF TRUST; APPROPRIATING $4,600 FROM THE PUBLIC BUILDING BOND FUND NO. 207 FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID LOTS FOR A FIRE STATION SITE AS A PART OF PROJECT NO. 207 -64 -1, FIRE STATION NO. 13; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO TRANSFER SAID LOTS FROM THE WATER FUND TO GENERAL FIXED ASSETS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE WATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7.02 OF THE DEED OF TRUST THAT PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, DESCRIBED AS LOTS 13 AND 14, BLOCK 2, FLOUR BLUFF GARDENS. SECTION 2. THERE 1S HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF PUBLIC BUILDING BOND FUND No. 207 THE SUM OF $4,600 FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID LOTS FOR A FIRE STATION SITE, AS PART OF PROJECT No. 207 -64 -1, FIRE STATION No. 13. SECTION 3. THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO TRANSFER THE SAID LOTS 13 AND 14, BLOCK 2, FLOUR BLUFF GARDENS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM THE WATER FUND TO GENERAL FIXED ASSETS. SECTION 4. THE NECESSITY TO DECLARE SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE WATER SYSTEM THE AFORESAID LOTS 13 AND 14, BLOCK 2, FLOUR BLUFF GARDENS, AND TO DESIGNATE THE SAME FOR THE SITE OF FIRE STATION No. 13 CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUS- PENSION or THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED THAT SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED 9726 FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM e�}yAND Df� AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED THIS THE 4 7.SLDAY OF APRIL, 1970.
