GONZALES FOR PROPERTY DAMAGES INCURRED DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTH STAPLES STREET IMPROVEMENTS, KINNEY TO I. H. 37, PROJECT NO. 220- 61-50; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $950 for payment to Alonso M. Gonzales for property damages incurred during construction of the North Staples Street improve- ments, Kinney to I. H. 37, being Project No. 220- 61 -50. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the necessary funds and to make payment for property damages incurred during construction of the aforesaid street improvements creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule providing that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested that said Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and ef''4& fenct' from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the I—q Y day of May, 1970.
