AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 202 WATER BOND FUND THE SUM
OF $1,100.00 FOR ACQUISITION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT
NEEDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE FLOUR BLUFF WATER LINES,
APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 202 -68 -29.3, FLOUR BLUFF
MAIN, HOLLY RESEVOIR TO INTERCOASTAL CANAL; AUTHORIZ-
ING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACQUIRE THE
AFORESAID PARCEL FROM THE OWNER, LAGUNA ESTATES, INC.,
E. J. WRANOSKY, PRESIDENT, BY PROPER CONVEYANCE AND
BY THE EXECUTION OF SUCH OTHER INSTRUMENTS AS MAY BE
NECESSARY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF ND. 202 WATER
BOND FUND THE SUM OF $11100.00 FOR ACQUISITION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT NEEDED
IN CONNECTION WITH THE FLOUR BLUFF WATER LINES, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT
No. 202 -68 -29.3, FLOUR BLUFF MAIN, HOLLY RESEVOIR TO INTERCOASTAL CANAL,
SAID PARCEL BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT:
BEING A STRIP OF LAND OUT OF LOTS 12 AND 13, SECTION 54,
FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS AS SHOWN
BY MAP OF RECORD IN VOLUME A, PAGE 42, NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS MAP RECORDS, SAID STRIP OF LAND BEING MORE PARTICU-
LARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE MOST EASTERLY CORNER OF SAID LOT 12,
SAID POINT BEING THE COMMON CORNER OF LOTS 3, 4, 11 AND
12, SAID SECTION 54, FOR THE MOST EASTERLY AND BEGINNING
CORNER OF THE TRACT HEREIN DESCRIBED;
THENCE S. 290 001 W., WITH THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF SAID LOT
12, A DISTANCE OF 25.0 FEET TO A POINT FOR A CORNER OF THIS
TRACT;
THENCE N. 61° 011 30" W., WITH A LINE THAT IS 25.0 FEET
SOUTHWEST OF AND PARALLEL TO THE NORTHEAST BOUNDARY LINE
OF SAID LOTS 12 AND 13, A DISTANCE OF 1075.0 FEET TO A -
POINT FOR AN INTERIOR CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE S. 29° 001 W., A DISTANCE OF 124.0 FEET TO A POINT
FOR THE MOST SOUTHERLY CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE N. 61° 011 30" W., A DISTANCE OF 25.0 FEET TO A POINT
IN THE FUTURE CENTERLINE OF ANABELLE STREET FOR THE MOST
WESTERLY CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE N. 29° 001 E., WITH THE FUTURE CENTERLINE OF SAID
ANNABELLE STREET, A DISTANCE 149.0 FEET TO A POINT IN THE
NORTHEAST BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID LOT 13, FOR THE MOST
NORTHERLY CORNER OF THIS TRACT;
THENCE S. 61° 011 30" E., WITH THE NORTHEAST BOUNDARY LINE
OF SAID LOT 12 AND 13, A DISTANCE OF 1100.0 FEET TO THE
POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING 0.702 ACRESOF LAND MORE OR LESS.

SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED
AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACTS AND SUCH OTHER INSTRU-
MENTS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, THE AFORESAID PARCEL FROM THE OWNER, LAGUNA ESTATES, INC., E. J.
WRANOSKY, PRESIDENT.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM HEREINABOVE
DESCRIBED AND THE ACQUISITION OF THE PARCEL AFORESAID CREATES A PUBLIC EMER-
GENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER
RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF
ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT
THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED
SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION
OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE
OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM
AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE /61a) DAY

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
