HomeMy WebLinkAbout09828 ORD - 07/01/1970BJw:7 /1/70 TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT WITH THE OWNER, FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF CORPUS CHRISTI, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS NO. 19 AND 20, BAYFRONT OPEN SPACE PROJECT; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND $61,970.50, OF WHICH $61,627.50 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF THE LAND AND $343 IS FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO CLOSING COSTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRIST, SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT WITH THE OWNER OF PARCELS 19 AND 20, BAYFRONT OPEN SPACE PROJECT, SAID OWNER BEING FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SAID PARCELS BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: A. PARCEL 19: A PORTION OF THE W. S. HARNEY 1000 ACRE TRACT AND BEING ALSO A PART OF THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED BY MATT DUNN ET UX TO M. PETERSON AND WIFE, M. L. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND $611970.50, OF WHICH $61,627.50 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF THE AFORE- SAID PARCELS 19 AND 20, AND $343 IS FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO CLOSING COSTS. SECTION 3.
