HomeMy WebLinkAbout09857 ORD - 07/29/19700 BJw:7/27/70 • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $42,769 of WHICH $34,845 IS FROM THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND; $1,813 IS FROM THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND; AND $6,111 IS FROM THE NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND; THE FOREGOING AMOUNTS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,157 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR ENGI- NEERING AND CONTINGENCIES APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS BOND FUND PROJECTS AS SHOWN ON THE TABULATION PREPARED BY THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSE- MENT TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNTS OF $56,926 FROM FUNDS HEREBY APPROPRIATED AND PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED, AND NOT HERETOFORE REIMBURSED DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, FOR THE PERIOD OF MAY 1, 1970, THROUGH JULY 31, 1970; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: ❑SECTION 1. THE NECESSITY FOR MAKING REIMBURSEMENT TO REFLECT SUCH EXPENDITURES AS ARE PROPERLY CHARGEABLE TO BOND FUNDS AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING l � REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT 15 ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE zr__ DAY OF JULY, 1970.
