BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the Class Grade of the following classifications: JOB CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE FROM TO 832 Sign Painter II T4— 175 715 Gas Pressure Foreman 24 25 726 Gas System General Foreman 24 25 731 Water System General Foreman 24 25 739 Sewer System General Foreman 24 25 SECTION 2. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the Class Title of the following classification: FROM JOB CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 710 Airport Maintenance Supervisor 22 TO 710 Maintenance Supervisor 22 SECTION 3. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by deleting the following classification: JOB CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 428 Senior Buyer 26 SECTION 4. That Section 1, Subsection (a) of said Ordinance No. 8127, be, and the same is hereby amended by creating the following positions: JOB CODE POSITION TITLE SALARY GRADE 065 Manpower Training Coordinator 29 067 Assistant Director of Park & Recreation 32 068 Assistant Purchasing Agent 29 9867 SECTION 5. That Section 1, Subsection (b) of said Ordinance No. 8127, be, and the same is hereby amended by substituting the attached salary schedules, as shown by Exhibit "A ", annexed hereto. SECTION 6. That Section 2, Subsection (b), Paragraph 4 of said Ordinance No. 8127, be, and the same is hereby amended by substituting the following salary schedule: 11 F2 $465 14 E1 494 16 El 535 22 El 687 SECTION 7. That Section 7, Subsection (b) of said Ordinance No. 8127, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the first sentence to read as follows: "(b) Overtime Compensation. Full -time hourly paid employees, employees in positions of classes in Salary Grade 22 and below in the Labor and Trades Group, employees classified as Dispatcher (Job Code 143), and all positions in the Police and Fire Series except Police and Fire Chiefs, shall be paid for authorized overtime work at the rate of one and one -half times the regular rate, provided that such rate for positions in the Fire Series with scheduled work weeks other than forty (40) hours shall be computed on the basis of 173.33 hours per month." SECTION 8. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any valid provision of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 9. The effective date of the above changes will be July 27, 1970. SECTION 10. The fact that there is an immediate need to create certain new positions and a need to maintain an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having requested the suspension of the said Charter Rule, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the � fDay of July, 1970.
