HomeMy WebLinkAbout09962 ORD - 10/21/1970• .1 0 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $2,560 FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES BY HAROLD CARR CONCERNING 16 PARCELS OF LAND NEEDED FOR THE STAPLES- WDOLDRIDGE DRAINAGE SYSTEM, PROJECT NO. 295- 7o-66; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $2,560 FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES BY HAROLD CARR ON 16 PARCELS OF LAND NEEDED FOR THE STAPLES - WOOLDRIDGE DRAINAGE SYSTEM, PROJECT NO. 295- 70-66. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO MAKE THE HEREINABOVE APPROPRIATION IN ORDER TO,PROVIDE FUNDS FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES AS OUTLINED ABOVE CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AN.D HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE, AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THER1A9tDAY OF OCTOBER, 1970.
