BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF { CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That City Drilling Block 874, as depicted in the plat attached to Ordinance No. 8879 of the City of Corpus Christi passed May 29, 1968, is hereby amended to be the configuration depicted on the attached plat and the new and amended description of said Drilling Block No. 874 shall be as follows: Being a tract of land situated in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, having been designated City of Corpus Christi Drilling Block 874, as established by Ordinance 8879 of the City of Corpus Christi, as adopted on May 29, 1968; comprised of portions of Lots 2 and 3, Block 6, and Lot 3, Block 9, of the J. C. Russell Farm Blocks, as shown on the plat thereof recorded in Volume 28, Page 58, of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the centerline of a 60 -foot dedicated right -of -way on the northerly extension of the west line of Lot 2, Block 6, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks; THENCE east along said centerline of a 60 -foot dedicated right -o£ -way, a distance of 1701.29 feet.to a point for the northeast corner of this block; 99G1 I� • THENCE south across Lot 3, Block 9, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks a distance of 1246.71 feet to a point for the southeast corner of this block; said point lying in the south line of said Lot 3, Block 9, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks; THENCE west along the south line of Lot 3, Block 9 J. C. Russell Farm Blocks a distance of 349.x+0 feet to a point on the centerline of Navigation Blvd.; THENCE south along said centerline of Navigation Blvd. a distance of 53.33 feet to a point; THENCE west across Lot 3, Block 6, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks a distance of 1351.89 feet to a point in the west line of said Lot 3, Block 6, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks for the southwest corner of this block; THENCE north 1300.04 feet along the west line of Lots 3 and 2, Block 6, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks to the point of beginning forming a tract of land embracing 50.34691 acres, more or less. SECTION 2. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, one time, which publication shall contain the caption, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, it shall not affect any valid provisions of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 4. The necessity for immediately amending the configuration of Drilling Block 874 as depicted in the plat attached to Ordinance No. 8879 creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity exist, and having -2- 1 6 . . � .. - 0 requested that such Charter Rule be suspended and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication, T IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of _�, 1970.
