APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND $10,440,
OF WHICH AMOUNT $10,200 IS FOR AWARD OF SPECIAL
COMMISSIONERS, $90 IS FOR COMMISSIONERS' FEES, AND
$150 IS FOR APPRAISER'S FEES AND COURT COSTS, ALL
IN CONNECTION WITH CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS IN CAUSE
N0. 642, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. JOHN H. YOCHEM,
ET AL, FOR BAYFRONT OPEN SPACE PROJECT, NO. 291 -70 -8;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI., TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF ND. 291 PARK
BOND FUND THE SUM OF $10,440, OF WHICH AMOUNT $10,200 IS FOR AWARD OF
SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, $90 IS FOR COMMISSIONERS' FEES, AND $150 IS FOR
APPRAISER'S FEES AND COURT COSTS, IN CONNECTION WITH CONDEMNATION PROCEED-
INGS IN CAUSE N0. 642, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. JOHN H. YOCHEM, ET AL,
FOR BAYFRONT OPEN SPACE PROJECT, N0. .291 -7o -8, ALL AS IS MORE FULLY SET
OUT IN THE INSTRUMENT ON FILE IN THE AFORESAID CAUSE, AND BEING DESCRIBED
AS FOLLOWS:
ALL OF THAT TRACT OF LAND 102.79 FEET WIDE LYING IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF
THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED LAND AND BEING BETWEEN OCEAN DRIVE AND CORPUS
CHRISTI BAY, THE NORTH AND SOUTH BOUNDARIES OF SUCH TRACT TO BE DETER
MINED JUST AS THOUGH THE MOST NORTHERLY BOUNDARY LINE OF THE HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND AND THE MOST SOUTHERLY BOUNDARY LINE OF THE HERE-

OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE
OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM
AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE, DAY
OF DECEMBER, 1970.

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
Corpus Christi, Texas
For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance, a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspen-
sion of the Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall
be passed finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore,
request that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordi-
nance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the
City Council.
