HomeMy WebLinkAbout10072 ORD - 01/13/1971iJAF2: vMP :1 /13/71 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $100 FOR LICENSE PERMIT FEE FOR CROSSING OF MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF PORT AVENUE AND JOHN STREET, PROJECT NO. 295- 70 -60; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $100 FOR LICENSE PERMIT FEE FOR CROSSING OF MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF PORT AVENUE AND JOHN STREET, PROJECT NO. 295- 70-60. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE HEREINABOVE SUM IN ORDER THAT THE PROJECT MAY BE COMMENCED WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE 13TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1971.
