EPPERSON CORPORATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING AT THE OSO GOLF COURSE, DESTROYED BY HURRICANE CELIA; APPROVING EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, DEDUCTING $1,694.5Q FROM THE SUBSTITUTE BID; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY j 4298, THE SUM OF $11,630.84, APPLICABLE TO ia JOB NO. 4298 -82; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED ` AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A, k ' CONTRACT WITH J. N. EPPERSON CORPORATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING AT THE O50 GOLF COURSE, DESTROYED BY HURRICANE CELIA, SAID CONSTRUC- TION TO CONSIST OF SITE PREPARATION, REINFORCED CONCRETE SLAB FOUNDATION - AND ERECTION OF A STEEL BUILDING, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET OUT IN THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY, ALL OF WHICH ARE MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE, AND ACCORDING TO THE BID OF J. N. EPPERSON CORPORATION, OPENED ON THE 20TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1971, THE SAID BID OF J. N. EPPERSON CORPORATION BEING THE LOWEST AND MOST ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, DEDUCTING $1,694.50 FROM THE SUBSTITUTE BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING AT THE OSO GOLF COURSE _ AS HEREINABOVE OUTLINED, A COPY OF SAID CHANGE 6RDER BEING ATTACHED HERETO. SECTION 3. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 4298, THE SUM OF $11,630.84, APPLICABLE TO JOB NO. 4298 -82. SECTION 4.
