HomeMy WebLinkAbout10182 ORD - 03/24/19713-24- 71:mv1 k AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT.OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $150 FOR ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL RIGHT OF WAY ON TULOSO ROAD, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220- 64 -64, MINOR STREET RIGHT OF WAY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACQUIRE THE AFORESAID PARCEL FROM THE OWNERS, R. H. DOUGLAS AND OTHO J. DOUGLAS, TRUSTEES FOR VIRA A. HARRELL KENDRICK, BY PROPER CONVEYANCE AND BY THE EXECUTION OF SUCH INSTRU- MENTS AS MAY BE NECESSARY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street a Bond Fund the sum of $150 for acquisition of additional right of way on Tuloso Road, applicable to Project No. 220- 64 -64, Minor Street Right of ? Way, said parcel or tract being more fully described as follows: Being a 0.072 acre tract of land out- of Lot 32, H. B. Sheppard Farm Lots as sbo•.m by :can of record in Volune A, Pale 51, 111Up Records, i7ucces County, Texas, and being adjacent to and east of th:c existing east 'right of way line of Tuloso Road, said 0.072 acre tract of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds.. Beginning at a point in the existing cast right of way line of Tuloso Road, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 2, Block C, Douglas Subdivision as shown by 3, ^p of record in 4olu,.e 27, Page 51,.1•1ap Records, faeces County, Texas for the northeast and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence due South with a line that is 10 feet east of and parallel to the existing east; right of way line of'said Tuloso Road, a distance of 321.22 feet to a point in the north right of way flare -out of Leopard Street for the Southeast corner of the tract herein described; Thence N. 32 59' 118" W., with said flare -out, a distance of 18.36 feet to a point in the existing east right of way line of said Tuloso Road fof_the southwest corner of the tract herein described; Thence due north with the existing east right of way line of said Tuloso Road, a distance of 305.82 feet to a point for the northwest corner of this tract; Thence due Last, a distance of 10.0 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 3135.2 square feet of land more or less. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to acquire the aforesaid parcel or tract of land from the owners, R. H. Douglas and Otho J. Douglas, Trustees for Vira A. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove described and to acquire the additional right of way aforesaid creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the sus- pension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, 2 � and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the-%&i-.dey of —TJ(� }_.� J , 1971.
