FOR HURRICANE CELIIA' DAMAGE REPAIRS TO THE CITY HALL AND PUBLIC UTILITIES BULLD- ING; APPROPRIATING $23,0855.75, OF WHICH $12,988.65 IS OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 4298 CODE 502, APPLICABLE TO THE CITY HALL JOB NO. 102 - 4298 -35, INCLUDING $955 FOR CONTINGENCIES; AND $10,097.10 IS OUT OF THE NO. 141 WATER FUND, ACTIVITY 5195, CODE 502, APPLICABLE TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES BUILDING, JOB NO. 141 - 5198 -27, OF WHICH $375 IS FOR CONTIN- GENCIES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: M SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED fC AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, A CONTRACT WITH ROOFCRAFT, INC. FOR HURRICANE CELIA DAMAGE REPAIRS TO THE CITY HALL AND PUBLIC UTILITIES, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET OUT IN THE PLANS AND SPECI- FICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY, ALL OF WHICH ARE MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE, AND ACCORDING TO THE BID OF ROOFCRAFT, INC., OPENED ON THE 24TH DAY OF MARCH, 1971, THE SAME BID OF ROOFCRAFT, INC. BEING THE LOWEST AND MOST ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY \OU :CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 2. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED $23,085.75, OF WHICH $12,988.65 IS OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 4298, CODE 5021 APPLI- CABLE TO THE CITY HALL, JOB N0. 102 - 4298 -35, INCLUDING $955 FOR CONTINGENCIES; AND $10,097.10 IS OUT OF THE N0. Al WATER FUND, ACTIVITY 51982 CODE 502, APPLICABLE TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES BUILDING, JOB N0. 141 - 5198 -27, OF WHICH $375 IS FOR CONTINGENCIES. SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE HEREINABOVE SUMS IN ORDER THAT DAMAGES TO CITY HALL AND PUBLIC UTILITIES BUILDING DAMAGED BY HURRICANE CELIA MAY BE REPAIRED CREATES A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDI- NANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECES- SITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND 10201 A THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE*, IT IS ACCORDINALY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE DAY OF�&a 19;71, 1971.
