HomeMy WebLinkAbout10314 ORD - 06/23/19716 -23 -71 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH MANSON INDUSTRIES FOR HURRICANE CELIA DAMAGE REPAIRS TO MEMORIAL COLISEUM; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 14298, CODE 502, THE SUM OF $42,189.60 FOR THE AFORESAID CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE, AND HE IS HEREBY, AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH MANSON INDUSTRIES FOR THE REPAIR OF DAMAGES TO MEMORIAL COLISEUM AS RESULT OF HURRICANE CELIA, ALL AS IS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY, ALL OF WHICH ARE MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE AND ACCORDING TO THE BID OF MANSON INDUSTRIES, OPENED ON THE 26TH DAY OF MAY, 1971, THE SAID BID OF MANSON INDUSTRIES BEING THE LOWEST AND MOST ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 2. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 1429$, CODE 502, THE SUM OF $442,189.60 FOR THE AFORESAID CONTRACT. SECTION 3.
