HomeMy WebLinkAbout10318 ORD - 06/23/1971VMP:6/22/71 TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 202 WATER SYSTEM BOND FUND, $14,000 FOR CONTINGENCY AND INCIDENTAL COSTS IN CONNEC- TION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAGUNA MADRE WATER LINE, PROJECT NO. 202 -68 -29.3 (PART B); SUPPLEMENTING FUNS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 9871; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED THE SUM OF $14,000 FOR CONTINGENCY AND INCIDENTAL COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAGUNA MADRE WATER LINE, PROJECT ND. 202 -68 -29.3 (PART B); SUPPLEMENTING FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 9871. SECTION 2. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE HEREINABOVE SUM IN ORDER THAT THE PROJECT MAY CONTINUE WITHOUT DELAY CREATES A PUBLIC EMER- GENCY AND IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, AND HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT //FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, THIS THE oCtJ/d DAY OF JUNE, 1971.
