AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO NAISMITH ENGINEERS, INC.,
AGENTS FOR WICK'S LUMBER COMPANY, FOR OVERSIZE AND
OVERDEPTH INSTALLATION OF THE HOPKI•NS ROAD SANITARY
SEWER EXTENSION; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 250
SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $932.75 OF WHICH
$857.75 IS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND $75 IS FOR ENGINEER-
ING, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESAID PROJECT, NO.
250- 70 -90; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION IS HEREBY GIVEN FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO
'NAISMITH "ENGINEERS, INC., AGENTS FOR WICKS LUMBER COMPANY, FOR OVERSIZE
AND OVERDEPTH INSTALLATION OF THE HOPKINS ROAD SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION,
PROJECT No. 250 - 70-90.
SECTION 2. THERE IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE N0. 250 SANITARY
SEWER BOND FUND THE SUM OF $932.75, OF WHICH $857.75 IS FOR THE INSTALLATION
AND $75 IS FOR ENGINEERING, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESAID PROJECT.
SECTION 3. THE NECESSITY TO APPROPRIATE THE HEREINABOVE DESCRIBED
SUMS AND TO REIMBURSE THE DEVELOPERS AND /OR ENGINEERS FOR THE AMOUNT EXPENDED
FOR OVERSIZE AND OVERDEPTH INSTALLATION OF SANITARY SEWER LINE CREATES A
PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND AN IMPERATIVE PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRING THE SUSPENSION
OF THE CHARTER RULE THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY
ON THE DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE READ AT THREE SEVERAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE MAYOR HAVING
DECLARED SUCH EMERGENCY AND NECESSITY TO EXIST, HAVING REQUESTED THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE AND THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE
DATE OF ITS INTRODUCTION AND TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECTrr//,n,
