BE IT ORDAINTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS � e CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658', be, and,' the same is hereby amended by adding the following position: ' JOB CODE CLASS TITLE GRADE 153 Assistant Court Clerk 17 SECTION 6. That Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 3658, be, and the same is hereby amended by deletion of the following position: JOB CODE GLASS TITLE 614 Senior Meter Reader GRADE 15 SECTION 7. That Section 7, Subsection (d) , paragraph 2, the first sentence thereof, of said Ordinance No. 8127, be, and the same is hereby amended by changing to read as follows: "Supervisor III, when working as chief dispatcher, shall be paid straight time for all hours over 40 hours per week." SECTION 8. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any valid provisions of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to which these rules and regulations relate. SECTION 9. The effective date of the above changes shall ,be November 15, 1971, or at the end of the Presidential freeze. SECTION 10. The fact that there is an immediate need to create certain new positions and a need to maintain an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution . shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having requested the suspension of said Charter Rule, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /O7-&/ day of November, 1971.
