HomeMy WebLinkAbout10559 ORD - 11/17/197111- 17- 71:mv1 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF WILLIAMS - STACKHOUSE AND ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHY AND PREPARE PLANAMETRIC PLAN AND PROFILE SHEETS FOR THE GARDENDALE AREA STORM SEWERS PROJECT; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND $5,200 FOR THE AFORESAID SERVICES, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 295- 70 -64; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept the proposal of Williams - Stackhouse and Associates to provide photography and prepare planametric plan and profile sheets for the Gardendale Area storm sewers project, No. 295- 70 -64, a copy of said proposal being attached hereto,-marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond Fund the sum of $5200 for the aforesaid photography and plana- metric plan and profile sheets. SECTION 3. The necessity to accept the proposal and to appro- priate the sums aforesaid in order that the project may be commenced at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordin- ance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and neces- sity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 1*%V✓ day of November, 1971. Stackhouse 2113 N:annix Drive San Antonio, Texas 73217 Subject: Gardendale Storm Sewers Dear Mr. Williams: In line with our telephone conversation today, I am sending you a general area map showing the street for which I am requesting that you furnish the City a proposal for the aerial photography of as per the following scope of warts. We will need 22" x 35" ?Vlar sheets (minimum 3 mil thickness) with a screened planimetric on the top half of the sheet and a gridded profile on the bottom half of the sheet. The scale for this work is to be 1' -30' and we desire lateral planimetric work 150' either side of the street center- line showing all essential topo features such as houses, driveways, power poles, edge of pavement, manholes and other items normally plotted in a planimetric topo from an aerial photograph. The profile section will be, of course, the 1'• -30' horizontal with a vertical grid system which we can fur- nish you if necessary. Each Mylar sheet is to have the standard City title block affixed in the lower right band corner, and we will send you a copy of this as soon as your proposal is approved and you are officially authorized to do this work. The City of Corpus Christi will paint the necessary controls on the pavement for this work prior to the fliol t. We will iurnish this information to you also after your proposal is approved by the City. I will appreciate that you expedite furnishing me a proposal because the timing of this project is critical.
