HomeMy WebLinkAbout10659 ORD - 01/12/1972.. r.o. „a ..�- .. -.. ». .._,�.. -. ., .. .e . _. t..u,.. ten. ro,n8... ..✓ «. i > _... 1- 12- 72:BLT:jkh AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 6, 7 AND 8, ORDINANCE NO. 3824, APPEARING AS SECTIONS 30 -10, 30 -11, AND 30 -12, RESPECTIVELY, OF CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1958, PERTAINING TO TRAIN WHISTLES IN THE NORTH BEACH AREA OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, certain provisions in the ordinance pertaining to train whistles are unnecessary and to some extent in conflict with the State law and should be repealed: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Sections 6, 7 and 8 of Ordinance No. 3824, appearing as Sections 30 -10, 30 -11, and 30 -12, respectively, of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1958, pertaining to train whistles in the North Beach Area of the City be, and they are hereby, repealed. SECTION 2. The necessity for immediate adoption of this ordinance creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that'such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the %� W/ day of J2 L1972.
