HomeMy WebLinkAbout10704 RES - 02/09/1972A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Corpus Christi community has lost a valuable civic leader in the person of Charles J. Aills who died on February 8, 1972; and WHEREAS, Charles J. Aills had been a respected civic leader for many years and was the holder of many positions, including that of City Councilman; he served for many years on the Tax Equalization Board of the City and School District, and was a member of the Memorial Medical Center's Board of Trustees, past President of the Nueces County Tax Payers Association, was an active member of the Texas Association of Building Owners and Managers and an active Mason; and WHEREAS, the death of Charles J. Aills will be a great loss to the citizens of this city and his leadership will be difficult to replace: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, that this brief record of the many accomplish- ments of Charles J. Aills be recalled and that the City Council does hereby express its sympathy and condolence upon the occasion of the death of Charles J. Aills, and particularly to his family and relatives. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of Charles J. Aills. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9th day of February, 1972.
