HomeMy WebLinkAbout10712 ORD - 02/16/19722/14/72:vmp t AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 10 -FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN LOTS 12 AND 13, BLOCK 3, FLOUR BLUFF ESTATES NO. 2; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, there exists a 10 -foot utility easement between Lots 12 and 13, Block 3, Flour Bluff Estates No. 2, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas; and Fav WHEREAS, the aforesaid easement is not now needed4by the; City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is to the advan- tage of the City to abandon the easement hereinabove described so that the same may be used by the owners of the aforesaid lot for other purposes: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 10 -foot utility easement between Lots 12 and 13; Block 3, Flour Bluff Estates No. 2, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be and the same is closed and abandoned for public use and abandoned to the owners of said Lots 12 and 13, Block 3, Flour Bluff Estates No. 2. SECTION 2. The fact that the public convenience and neces- sity would be better served by the 4closing of the aforesaid ease- ment creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS 10712 .v- ; ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 14VZ day of February, 1972.
