FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 48" WATER MAIN FROM CALALLEN, PROJECT NO. 202 -68 -29.1; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 202 WATER SYSTEM BOND FUND $16,000, OF WHICH P4,780 IS FOR SAID CHANGE ORDER NO. 6 AND $11,220 IS TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES BY ORDINANCE NO. 9701; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, ,SECTION.1. That the ,City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 6 to the contract with Burtex Constructors, Inc. for the construction of the 48" water main from Calallen, Project No. 202 -68 -29.1, a•'copy of said Change Order No. 6 being attached hereto as Exhibit "A', and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 202 Water System Bond Fund $16,000, of which $4,780 is for the aforesaid Change Order No. 6 and $11,220 is to supplement funds previously appropriated for contingencies and incidental expenses by Ordinance No. 9701. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize the execution of the ty . aforesaid change order and the appropriation of the necessary funds in order that the project may continue without delay creates a public ewer= gency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and'the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /dam ,V day of March, 1972.
