HomeMy WebLinkAbout10745 ORD - 03/15/1972TEXAS: 3- 14- 72:jkh M AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 103 TOURIST AND, CONVENTION FUND, ACTIVITY 5501, CODE 460, $5936 FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY SMITH & RUSSO IN CONNECTION WITH HURRICANE CELIA DAMAGE REPAIRS AND BETTERMENT TO MEMORIAL COLISEUM AND EXPOSITION HALL, PROJECT NO. 102 - 4298 -77; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 103 Tourist and Convention Fund, Activity 5501, Code 460, the sum of $5936 for architectural services provided by Smith & Russo in connection with Hurricane Celia damage repairs and for betterment to Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Hall, Project No. 102- 4298 -77. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately provide the sums hereby appropriated for architectural services rendered by the aforesaid architects creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordi- nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force ands a "f�fect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this thee. day of March, 1972.
