HomeMy WebLinkAbout10799 RES - 04/12/1972A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Corpus Christi community has lost a valuable civic leader in the person of Rear Admiral (Ret.) Joseph B. Dunn who died on April 6, 1972; and WHEREAS, Admiral Joseph B. Dunn had been a respected civic leader for many years and was the holder of many positions, including that of City Councilman and Director of Public Safety; and WHEREAS, Admiral Joseph B. Dunn was known for his sagacity and his direct comments of great service will be forever remembered with gratitude by the citizens of this City: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, that this brief record of the many accomplish- ments of Admiral Joseph B. Dunn be recalled and that the City Council does hereby express its sympathy and condolence upon the occasion of the death of Rear Admiral Joseph B. Dunn, particularly to his widow and his daughters. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of Admiral Joseph B. Dunn. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of April, 1972.
