MOORE A WIDOW, FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 1, SOUTH ? APLES STREET, PADRE ISLAND DRIVE TO SARATOGA BOULEVARD; APPRO- PRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $15,408.50, OF WHICH AMOUNT OF $15,150 IS FOR LAND PURCHASES AT THE APPRAISED OR APPROVED VALUE AND $258.50 IS FOR INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO CLOSING OF THE PURCHASE OF THE AFORESAID PARCEL, ALL BEING APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -107; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute real estate sales contract with Blanche D. Dore, a widow, for acquisition of Parcel No. 1, South Staples Street, Padre Island Drive to Saratoga Boulevard; Project No. 220 -70 -107, said parcel being described as follows, respectively: Being a 0.543 acre tract of land out of Lot 9, Section 3, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts as shown by Map of record in Volume A, Page 43, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said tract of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the northeast boundary line of Lot 20, Block 11, Gardendale No. 3, as recorded in Vol. 12, Page 59, Map Records of Nueces County, said point being N. 610 00' 40" W. a distance of 40' from the original center line of 40' wide South Staples Street (Dump Road) and N. 290 00' E. 210' from the original center line of Williams Drive. Thence N. 290 00' E. parallel to and 40' from the original center line of South Staples Street, 55.24' to a point; Thence N. 270 10' 27" E. a distance of 313.84' to a point; Thence N. 290 00' E. parallel to and 50' from the original center line of South Staples Street, a distance of 486.26' to a point, the beginning of a curve to the left; Thence in a northerly direction with a circular curve to the left whose radius is 50' and central angle is 900 01' 20 ", a distance of 78.73' to a point, the P. T. of the curve, being also in the Southwest Right -of Way line of Padre Island Drive (State Highway 358); Thence S. 610 01' 20" E. with the Southwest Right -of -Way line of Padre Island Drive, a distance of 80.02' to a point, the intersection of the Southwest Right -of -Way line of Padre Island Drive and the original Northwest Right -of -Way line of 40' wide South Staples; Thence S. 290 00' W. along the original Northwest Right -of -Way line of 40' wide South Staples Street, a distance of 905.0' to a point; 1-0842 11 Thence N. 610 00' 40" W. a distance of 20' to the point of beginning and containing 23,974 square feet (0.543 Ac. more or less). SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $15,408.50, of which amount $15,150 is for land purchase at the appraised or approved value and $258.50 is for incidental costs related to closing of the purchase of the aforesaid parcel, all in connection with Project No. 220 -70 -107, Parcel 1, South Staples Street, Padre Island Drive to Saratoga Boulevard. SECTION 3.
