HomeMy WebLinkAbout10843 ORD - 05/03/1972JRR:HG:jkh:5- 3- 72;•lsC " • ' AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE Ml!ASTER PLAN FOR STORM DRAINAGE FOR THE AREA NEST OBI- CLAMIOOD ROAD AND THE FLOUR BLUFF AREA OF 41 -�I,TY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, AS PREPARED BY DLUC[IER A r.D_ NAISMITH ENGINEERS, INC., CONSULTING ENGINEERS, bS•,RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AS SUCH MASTER DRAINAGE PLAN APPEARS ON FILE WITH THE DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING SERVICES AND IDENTIFIED BY THE SIGNATURE AND ATTESTATION OF-THE CITY SECRETARY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 0 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Master Plan for storm drainage for the area West of Clarkwood Road and the Flour Bluff area of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as prepared by Blucher and Naitmith Engineers, Inc., Consulting Engineers, as recommended by the Planning Commission, as such Master Drainage Plan appears on file with the Director of Engineering Servizes and identified by the signature and attestation of the City Secretary, be and the same is hereby adopted by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas SECTION 2. The imperative necessity to adopt the Master Plan for Drainage creates a public emergency and an imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu- tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this day of May, 1972.
