AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2, ORDINANCE NO. 9563,
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER
26, 1969, BY ESTABLISHING RATES OF FARE FOR TAXICABS
FOR ONE OR MORE PERSONS AT FORTY-FIVE CENTS (454) FOR
' THE FIRST ONE -FIFTH (115) OF A MILE OR FRACTION THEREOF,
AND TEN CENTS (104) ADDITIONAL FOR EACH SUCCEEDING ONE -
FIFTH (1/5) OF A MILE OR FRACTION THEREOF, AND PROVIDING
FOR WAITING TIME FARE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That Section 1 and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 9563,
passed and approved by the City Council on November 26, 1969, be and the
same hereby are amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. There is hereby established as the rates of
fare for taxicabs within the City limits of the City of Corpus Christi for
one or more persons, not exceeding five persons, of forty -five cents (454)
for the first one -fifth (1/5) of a mile or less, and ten cents (10(,,) addi-
tional for each succeeding one -fifth (1/5) of a mile or fraction thereof.
Section 2. For each one minute of waiting time the maximum
charge shall be ten cents (104)."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect after its publica-
tion one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi,
which publication shall contain the caption stating in summary the purpose
of the ordinance, and modification of taxicab meters to reflect these rates.
