JENNINGS, FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 5, GOLLIHAR ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CADDO STREET TO AIRLINE ROAD; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $1,694 TO SUPPLEMENT $550 PREVIOUSLY APPRO- PRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 10720 AS APPLIED TO THIS PARCEL; ALL BEING APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -110; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute real estate sales contract with Seldon Jennings, et ux Otherine M. Jennings, for acquisition of Parcel No. 5, Gollihar Road Street Improvements Project, Caddo Street to Airline Road, said parcel being described as follows: Being a 6.5 foot wide strip of land out of Lot 11, Block 10, Koolside Addition as shown by map of record in Volume 13, Pages 32 and 33, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the most northerly corner of said Lot 11, for the most northerly and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence S. 60° 40' E., with the existing Southwest right -of -way line of Gollihar Road, and with the northeast boundary line of said Lot 11, a distance of 110.0 feet to a point, the P. C. of a curve, for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a southeasterly direction with the arc of a curve to the right whose central angle is 38° 56', and whose radius is 30.0 feet, a distance of 20.12 feet to a point for the most easterly corner of the tract herein described; Thence N. 60° 40' W., a distance of 128.65 feet to a point in the northwest boundary line of said Lot 11, for the most westerly corner of the tract herein described; Thence N. 29° 20' E., with the northwest boundary line of said Lot 11, a distance of 6.50 feet to the point of begin- ning. Containing 797.9 square feet of land more or less. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $1,694 to supplement $550 previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 10720 as applied to this parcel, all in connection with Project No. 220 -70 -110, Gollihar Road Street Improvements Project, Caddo Street to Airline Road. The necessity to authorize the execution of the necessary documents and to authorize the payment of funds for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcel of land as soon as possible creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the_,�Z day of June, 1972.
