ROBERTS FOR ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 6 APPLICABLE TO STAPLES STREET; BALDWIN INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 220- 67 -94; APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $257 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 6; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute right -of -way deed and dedication with W. J. Roberts for acquisition of Parcel No. 6, applicable to Staples Street; Baldwin Intersection Improve- ments, Project No. 220- 67 -94, said parcel being described as follows, to -wit: Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of Lot 1, Block 2, Lindale Park Section 1, as shown by Map of record in Volume 9, Page 46, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said tract of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the Northeast right -of -way line of Swantner Street and in the Southwest boundary line of said Lot 1, from whence the most Southerly corner of said Lot 1 is in Southeasterly direction with the arc of a curve to the right whose central angle is 2° 41' 40" and whose radius is 1151.22 feet, a distance of 54.14 feet, for the Southeast and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a northwesterly direction with the southwest line of said Lot 1, and with the arc of a curve to the left whose central angle is 2° 04' 15 ", and whose radius is 1151.22 feet, a distance of 41.61 feet to a point, the P.C.C. of curves for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a northerly direction with the arc of a curve to the right whose central angle is 45° 24' 25 ", and whose radius is 30.0 feet, a distance of 23.78 feet to a point for the most northerly corner of the tract herein described; Thence S. 31° 06' E., a distance of 63.70 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 208.64 square feet of land more or less. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund $257 for the acquisition of Parcel No. 6, in connection with Project No. 220- 67 -94, Staples, Baldwin Intersection Improvements. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize the execution of the neces- sary documents and to authorize the payment of funds for the acquisition of the aforesaid parcels of land as soon as possible creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of 1 to • + JRR:vmp 6/19/72:lst its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the aL,2� day of June, 1972.
