HomeMy WebLinkAbout10962 ORD - 07/12/1972JRR:ml:6- 23- 72;1st AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE EFFECT OF REVOCABLE EASEMENTS HERETOFORE ISSUED UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 8844 AS AMENDED AUTHORIZING THE PERMITTEE TO DISPOSE OF WASTE MATERIALS AND WATER FROM OII. WELL PRODUCTION, AND SETTING FORTH OTHER PRO- VISIONS TO THE MATTER OF REVOCABLE EASEMENTS FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, revocable easements issued under Ordinance No. 8844 as amended and extended by Ordinances No. 9187, 9401, 9817, and 10347 by the terms of said ordinances, will expire June 30, 1972; and WHEREAS, additional time is needed for continuing study of the problems involved in the operation regulated by said ordinances; and I WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that said permits i' should be extended for a period ending June 30, 1973, unless sooner cancel- led or unless the Railroad Commission of Texas sooner cancel the exception to the no -pit order.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the provisions of Ordinance No. 8844 as amended, are hereby extended to the effect that all permits issued under said Ordi- nances 8844, 9187, 9401, 9817, and 10347 shall be continued in effect until June 30, 1973, provided the bonds required in said ordinances be kept in effect during said time and the terms of the permits issued thereunder be 'r observed. Each of the permits now in existence will be extended by the i payment of a $40.00 fee by August 1, 1972, to the City Petroleum Superin- tendent. Any new applicants for permits shall comply with the provisions of said Ordinances 8844, 9187, 9401, 9817, and 10347, including the neces- sity for filing bond and payment of a fee of $40.00 per well. 3 THAT THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE WAS READ FOR THE FIRST TIME AND PASSED TO ITS SECOND READING ON THIS THE-,2S),tl-DAY OF, 19 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: BONNIE SIZEMORE CHARLES A.
