AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $20,355.28 OUT OF THE NO. 251 SANITARY
SEWER SYSTEM H.U.D. GRANT BOND FUND, APPLICABLE TO
PROJECT NO. 251- 70 -79, TO SUPPLEMENT $45,500 PRE-
VIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 9731 FOR ENGIN-
EERING FEES FOR URBAN ENGINEERING IN CONNECTION WITH
THE DESIGN OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN FLOUR
BLUFF, ALL AS ENCOMPASSED IN H.U.D. GRANT PROJECT
NO. WS -TEX 327; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $20,355.28 out of the
No. 251 Sanitary Sewer System H.U.D. Grant Bond Fund, applicable to Project
No. 251- 70 -79, to supplement $45,500 previously appropriated by Ordinance
No. 9731 for engineering fees for Urban Engineering in connection with the
design of sanitary sewer improvements in Flour Bluff, all as encompassed in
H.U.D. Grant Project No. WS -TEX 327.
SECTION 2. The City Manager or Director of Urban Development are
hereby authorized to approve the payments for the above purposes.
SECTION 3. The necessity to promptly appropriate the hereinabove
sums and to authorize payment thereof creates a public emergency and impera-
tive public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduc-
tion but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several
meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency
and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter
rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduc-
tion and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the j '7-tl day of July, 1972.

BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL. -
