HomeMy WebLinkAbout11007 ORD - 08/02/1972JRR:jkh;8 -1 -72; 1st s TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $50,160.10, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -67 -88.3, TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT FOR TEN INTERSECTIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $509160.10 for traffic signal equipment for ten intersections, designated as Project No. 220 -67 -88.3. 'SECTION 2.--The necessity- to-appropriate the necessary sums for the acquisition of the traffic signal equipment for the purpose of providing adequate traffic control as a part of the traffic system of the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the.;9,in.c.day of August 1972.
