NETER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUC- TION OF CORPUS CHRISTI MUNICIPAL MARS IMPROVEMENTS CONSISTING OF CONSTRUCTION OF A BAIT STAND, CONCESSION STAND, AND REMODELING OF TRANSFORMER VAULT BUILDINGS ON THE L-HEAD AND LAWRENCE AND PEOPLE'S STREET T -HEADS (REVISED MAY, 1972)1 APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 292 MARINA IMPROVEMENTS BOND FUND $39,000, OF WHICH $36,968 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND $2,032 IS FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 292 -70 -11 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with E. J. Netek Construction Company for construction of Corpus Christi Municipal Marina Improvements consisting of construction of a bait stand, concession stand, and remodeling of transformer vault build- ings on the L -head and Lawrence and People's Street T -heads (revised May, 1972), all as is more fully described in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of E. J. Netek Construction Company, opened on the 28th day of June, 1972, the said bid of E. J. Netek Construction Company being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $39,000, of which $36,968 is for the construction contract and $2,032 is for contingencies and incidental expenses, all applicable to Project No. 292 -70 -1. SECTION 3. The necessity to execute the aforesaid contract and to appropriate the sums hereinabove set forth at the earliest possible date in order that construction may be commenced, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and JAWA take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of 4 1972.
