HomeMy WebLinkAbout11030 ORD - 08/09/1972JRR:jkh :8 -8 -72; 1st AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLATTING ORDINANCE, NO. 4168, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SUBSECTION B OF SECTION III, PROCEDURE AND PLAT REQUIREMENTS, SO AS TO REQUIRE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION TO THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT BY SUBDIVIDERS NOT LATER THAN 12:00 NOON SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO ANY MEETING AT WHICH PRELIMINARY PLAT IS TO BE CONSIDERED; AMENDING SUBSECTIONS B AND C, PARAGRAPHS 1 OF SECTION III OF THE PLATTING ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS FROM NINE TO ELEVEN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Platting Ordinance, No. 4168, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Subsection B of Section III, PROCEDURE AND PLAT REQUIREMENTS, by amending the first paragraph thereof to hereafter read as follows: "B. PRELIMINARY PLAT. Following the presubmission conference all persons desireing to subdivide a tract of land within the area above described shall first prepare and submit to the Planning Department of the City of Corpus Christi, not later than 12:00 noon seven (7) days prior to any meeting at which such plat is to be considered, the following information which shall be certified by a state registered professional engineer or by a state licensed or registered land surveyor: ". SECTION 2. That Subsections B and C, Paragraphs 1, of Section III of the Platting Ordinance, as amended, be amended so as to hereafter require the submission by subdividers of eleven copies of plats to the Planning Department. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and are hereby repealed to the extent of conflict herewith. SECTION 4. The necessity to amend the Platting Ordinance as hereinabove set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but 111030 • • that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and neces- sity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the %.day of August, 1972.
