BLACK FOR MUSEUM AREA LANDSCAPING IMPROVE- MENTS - GENERAL CONTRACT; REAPPROPRIATING $33,200 OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND NO. 102, ACTIVITY 4181, CODE 502, OF WHICH $32,897.45 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND $302.55 IS FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with R. S. Black for Museum Area Landscaping Improvements - General Contract, all as is more fully described in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of R. S. Black, opened on the 9th day of August, 1972, the said bid of R. S. Black being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. There is hereby reappropriated out of General Fund No. 102, Activity 4181, Code 502, the sum of $33,200, of which amount $32,897.45 is for the construction contract and $302.55 is for contingen- cies and incidental expenses, all applicable to the aforesaid contract. SECTION 3. The necessity to execute the aforesaid contract and to provide the necessary sums for the commencement of the landscaping improve- ments to the Museum area creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule and that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the.�day of August, 1972. �X"'1 MAYOR ,?L-o a_r.
