HomeMy WebLinkAbout11056 ORD - 08/23/1972• JRR:jkh:8- 23 -72; lst• • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF N0. 291 PARR BOND FUND THE SUM OF $19,210.31 FOR AWARDS OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, FEES FOR SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, APPRAISAL COSTS, COURT COSTS AND COSTS INCIDENTAL TO ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 23 AND 26, BAYFRONT PARK SITE 03, PROJECT NO. 291 -70 -8; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 291 Park Bond Fund the sum of $19,210.31 for Awards of Special Commissioners, fees of Special Commissioners, appraisal costs, court costs and costs incidental to acquisition of Parcel 23, being Lot D, Block 15 -A, Port Aransas Cliffs, also referred to as Lot D. Alta Vista Cliffs Addition, owned by James D. Cable and wife, Mary Pearls Cable; and Parcel 26, being Lot A, Alta Vista Cliffs Addition, owned by Edith Seeger, being Cause Nos. 658 and 657, respectively, in Condemnation Proceedings in County Court at Law No. 2, in connection with acquisithn of parcels for Bayfront Park Site 03, Project No. 291 -70-8. SECTION 2. The necessity to make the hereinabove described appropri- ation at the earliest practicable date in order to take possession of the parcels aforesaid for the development of the Bayfront Park Site 03, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the'suspen- sion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,'IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the,i3 c� day of August, 1972.
