CPA- TX -06 -59 -1020; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • WHEREAS, UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1954, AS AMENDED, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (HEREIN CALLED THE "GOVERNMENT "), HAS TENDERED TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (HEREIN CALLED THE "PLANNING AGENCY"), A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO URBAN PLANNING GRANT AWARD PROGRAM N0. CPA- TX- 06- 59- 1020,'DATED AND WHEREAS, THE PLANNING AGENCY HAS GIVEN DUE.CONSIDERATION TO SAID PROPOSED AWARD: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE PROPOSED AWARD, DESIGNATED "FIRST AMENDATORY PLANNING GRANT AWARD AMENDING PROGRAM N0. CPA- Tx- o6 -59- 1020' IS HEREBY IN ALL RESPECTS APPROVED. SECTION 2. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO EXECUTE SAID PROPOSED AWARD IN TWO COUNTERPARTS ON BEHALF OF THE PLANNING , AGENCY, AND THE CITY SECRETARY IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO IMPRESS AND ATTEST THE OFFICIAL SEAL OF THE PLANNING AGENCY ON EACH SUCH COUNTERPART AND TO FORWARD SUCH COUNTERPARTS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, TOGETHER WITH SUCH OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATIVE TO THE APPROVAL AND EXECUTION THEREOF AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE GOVERNMENT. PART I NOTICE OF FIRST AMMATORY GRANT AWARD Program No. CPA- TX -06 -59 -1020 Planning Agency: City of Corpus Christi, Texas Grant Period: August 1, 1972 through July 31, 1973 Amount of Grant: $130,000.00 The Planning Agency identified above is herby awarded an amendatory, grant, authorized under Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended, amending the amount and the period to that specified above, for the purpose of assisting the Planning Agency in carrying out the activities described in the amended annual cork program and budget (Exhibit "E "). Th-- terao and conditions of the original award are equally applicable thereto. In addition the Planning Agency is subject to the following Special Conditions: The Coastal Send Council of Governments is a source of information in the planning effort, and this program must be fully and continually coordinated with that agency to avoid overlap and duplication of effort. OVIMALL PROGRAM DIMIGN SUPZwlly PROGMM CATEGORY 100.0: Overall Program Design The first responsibility of the staff of this 701 planning and management project will be to develop an Overall Program Design. The purpose of the Program Design will be to provide an outline of the planning work to be completed in the next three to five years, and a detailed outline of the planning work to be completed in the first year of operation. It will / discuss the organization of work elements, the relationships of studies t/ to each other, and the timing and costs of studies. It is to be used by staff members and consultants in the performance of work elements. The development of the Overall Program Design is expected to require approximately two months for completion.
