A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, T. Frank Smith, a native of Texas and a long time
resident of the City was called to his eternal reward September 5, 1972;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Smith was among the pioneers of the broadcasting
industry in Texas and the Coastal Bend area and was the President and
founder of KRIS -TV; and
WHEREAS, he was an active business man in the Coastal Bend,
enjoyed flying his own airplane, raising orchids and boating; and
WHEREAS, he served as President of the Corpus Christi Chamber
of Commerce in 1951; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE .CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: that'the City Council does hereby express its
sympathy and condolence upon the occasion of the death of T. Frank Smith
and that the sympathy of the entire citizenry of the City of Corpus Christi
be extended to his family, in their bereavement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a.copy of,this Resolution be delivered
to the family of T. Frank Smith.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 6th day of September, 1972.
