HomeMy WebLinkAbout11089 ORD - 09/20/1972JRR:jkh:9- 18 -72; 1st • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,851 FROM THE NO. 291 PARR BOND FOND FOR PROJECT NO. 291 -70 -10.1, HILLCREST PARR, FOR RELOCATION PAYMENTS TO FAMILIES DISPLACED AS A RESULT OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF HILLCREST PARR, HUD PROJECT TEX- OSC- 85(DL); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR THE DIRECTOR OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT TO APPROVE THE AFORESAID PAYMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from No. 291 Park Bond Pund the sum of $2,851 for Project No. 291 -70 -10.1, Hillcrest Park, for relocation payments to families displaced as a result of the construction of Hillcrest Park, HOD Project No. TEX- OSC -85 (DL). SECTION 2. That the City Manager or the Director of Urban Development be authorized to approve the payments for the purposes afore- said. SECTION 3. The necessity to promptly appropriate the hereinabove sums and to authorize payment thereof creates a public emergency and an Imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be is full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the_2L,2-k, day of September, 1972.
