HomeMy WebLinkAbout11143 ORD - 11/01/1972• JRR:m1:10 -31 -721st .n AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $26,700, OUT OF NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND FOR PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -121, AYERS STREET IM- PROVEMENTS, FROM PORT AYERS TO NORTON STREET, AS AGREED TO UNDER AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION AUTHORIZED UNDER ORDINANCE 11,100 AND PLACING IN TRUST FUND NO. 927 THE AMOUNT OF $26,700 AS THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE ADDITIONAL COSTS OF CONSTRUCTING STREET IMPROVE- MENTS ON AYERS STREET FROM PORT AYERS TO NORTON STREET; FOR SAID PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -121; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. C� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $26,700 for Project No. 220 -70 -121, Ayers Street Improvements, from Port Ayers to Norton Street, as agreed to under agreement with the State Highway Commission, authorized by Ordinance No. 11,100, and placing in Trust Fund No. 927 the amount of $26,700 as the City's share of the additional costs of street improvements within the limits above described. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately appropriate the herein - above described funds in order that the project may continue without delay creates a public emergency and imperative public necessity requiring the suspesnion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be . passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the � day f Noes MgFR, , 1972.
