HomeMy WebLinkAbout11194 RES - 12/06/1972JRR :vmp :12/6/.'2 let ti A RESOLUTION • j1194 F"RESSING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN STREETS UNDER THE VOLUNTARY PAVING PROGRAM OF THE CITY UPON PASSAGE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. That the aforenamed streets are those included in the voluntary paving program and to be constructed through passage of the Capital Improvement Bond Program of 1972. SECTION 2. The necessity to inform all citizens regarding this Bond Program creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordi- nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordi- nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this the (_tA, day of December, 1972.
