HomeMy WebLinkAbout11196 RES - 12/06/1972JRR:MLM:jkh:12 -5 -72; 1st ` • A RESOLUTION NAMING THE PARK LOCATED AT PINE AND PUEBLO STREETS "CHIQUITO PARK "; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Board met in regular session on November 21, 1972; and WHEREAS, the Board voted to accept the recommendation of the Austin Neighborhood Center that the park located at Pine and Pueblo Streets be named "CHIQUITO PARR"; and WHEREAS, the Board voted to forward this recommendation to the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi for its consideration: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the park located at Pine and Pueblo Streets be and is hereby named "CHIQUITO PARR ". SECTION 2. The necessity to officially desienate the public park at Pine and Pueblo Streets creates a public emergency and an impera- tive public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this theday of December, 1972.
