WINSTEAD AND WIFE, RUBY WINSTEAD FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS NOS. 2 AND 3 OF THE GOLLIHAR ROAD PROJECT, FROM CADDO TO AIR- LINE ROAD, PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -110; AUTHOR- IZING PAYMENT OF THE ACQUISITION PRICE OF $1,000 AND CLOSING COST $86.50 FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND, BY ORDINANCE NO. 10720; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a real estate sales contract with Guy D. Winstead and wife, Ruby Winstead, for the acqui- sition of Parcels Nos. 2 and 3 of the Gollihar Road Project, said parcels being more particularly described as follows: PARCEL 2 Being a strip of land out of the Southwest portion of Lot 14, Block 8, Koolside Addition as shown by Map of record in Volume 13, Pages 32 & 33, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the most Southerly corner of said Lot 14, said point being in the existing north right -of -way line of Gollihar Road, for the most Southerly and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a northwesterly direction with the existing north right -of -way line of said Gollihar Road and with the arc of a curve to the right whose central angle is 60 47' 20" and whose radius is 491. 78 feet, and arc distance of 59.27 feet to a point for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence N. 60° 40' W., still with the existing right - of -way line of said Gollihar Road, a distance of 51.0 feet to a point, the P.C. of a curve for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a northwesterly direction with the arc of a curve to the right whose central angle is 38° 26' and whose radius is 30.0 feet, an arc distance of 20.12 feet to a point for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence S. 600 40' E., a distance of 112.50 feet to a point, the P.C. of a curve for a corner of the tract herein described; 1 -12$2 Thence in a Southeasterly direction with the arc of a curve to the left whose central angle is 2° 38' 20" and whose radius is 350.69 feet, an arc distance of 16.15 feet to a point in the Southeast boundary line of said Lot 14, for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence S. 29° 20" W., with the Southeast boundary line of said Lot 14, a distance of 3.37 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 731.1 square feet of land more or less. PARCEL 3 Being a strip of land out of Lot 15, Block 8, Koolside Addition as shown by map of record in Volume 13, Pages 32 and 33, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said strip of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 15, in the existing north right -of -way line of Gollihar Road, for the Southeast and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a nort:hwesterl} direction with the existing north right- of -iay line of said Gollihar Road, and with the arc o:` a curve to the right whose central angle is 1;:° 53' 40 ", and whose radius is 491.78 feet, a% arc distance of 110.68 feet to a point, the most westerly corner of said Lot 15, for the most westerly corner of tract herein described; Thence N. 290 20" E., with the northwest boundary line of said Lot 15, a distance of 3.37 feet to a point for the most northerly corner of the tract herein described; Thence in a Southeasterly direction with the arc of a curve to the left, whose central angle is 17° 42' 25 ", and whose radius is 350.69 feet, an arc distance of 108.47 feet to the point of begining. Containing 184.6 square feet of land more or less. SECTION 2. Authority is hereby given for payment of the acquisition price of $1,000 and for payment of closing costs of $86.50 from funds previously appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund, by Ordinance No. 10720. SECTION 3. The necessity to execute the aforesaid contract and to acquire the parcels described, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the sus- pension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 0-11-day of December, 1972.
