HomeMy WebLinkAbout11266 ORD - 01/17/197310 1 /17 /73:JRR:e 1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, AN INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT FOUNDATION, THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTIES, UPON PAYMENT OF THE CASH CONSIDERATION AS SHOWN ON EACH: 1. Lots 17 & 18, Block 2, Home Place Addition (208 17th Street), $1,000.00; 2. Lot 6, Block 12, Extension to South End Addition (810 12th Street), $900.00; 3. Lot 12, Block 5, Shoreline Park Addition (2320 Hatch Street), $900.00; 4. Lots 13 & 14, Block 18, Chamberlain Addition (1605 Marguerite Street), $1,000.00; and 5. Lots 27 & 28, Block 11, Steele Addition (2923 Morris Street), $2,500.00; AND DECLARING AN.EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF o CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to convey, on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, the following described properties to the Community Development Corporation, an independent nonprofit foundation, upon payment of the cash consideration as shown herein: 1. Lots 17 & 18, Block 2, Home Place Addition (208 17th Street), $1,000.00; 2. Lot 6, Block 12, Extension to ,South End Addition (810 12th Street), $900.00; 3. Lot 12, Block 5, Shoreline Park Addition (2320 Hatch Street), $900.00 ;v 4. Lots 13 & 14, Block 18, Chamberlain Addition (1605 Marguerite), $1,000.00; and 5. Lots 27 & 28, Block 11, Steele Addition (2923 Morris Street), $2,500.00./ SECTION 2. The necessity to convey the aforesaid parcels, for the sums designated, to the Community Development Corporation at the earliest possible date, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall 11266 0 0 be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the % %Yk,day of 1973.
