AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, ADOPTED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1937,
APPEARING OF RECORD IN VOLUME 9, PAGES 565, ET SEQ,
OF THE ORDINANCE AND RESOLUTION RECORDS, AS AMENDED
.FROM TIME TO TIME, AND PARTICULARLY AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 6106, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING ARTICLE
7A "T -1" TRAVEL TRAILER PARK, MOBILE HOME PARE, AND
MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION DISTRICT, SO AS TO REQUIRE
SUBMISSION OF PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION
OR EXTENSION OF ANY MOBILE HOME DEVELOPMENT; AMENDING
SUBSECTION 7A -2 -03 MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION SO AS TO
ESTABLISH MINIMUM LOT SIZE FOR MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISIONS
WHICH ARE COMPARABLE TO SINGLE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT;
AND AMENDING ARTICLE 33, PERMITS, PLATS AND FILING FEES,
BY AMENDING SECTION 33 -1, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR ISSUANCE
OF PERMITS FOR MOBILE HOMES ON SINGLE LOTS WITHIN A SUB-
DIVISION; KEEPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE
EXISTING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City
Council its reports and recommendations concerning certain amendments
to the iext of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christ'_, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all parsons
wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before
the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper
notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on January 17,
1973, at Regular Council Meeting of the City Council in the City Council
Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and
%MREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was
decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth
amendments would best serve the public health, necessity and convenience
and the general welfare of the City and its citizens:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, passed on the 27th day of August, 1937, appearing of
record in Volume 9, pages 565 et seq of the Ordinance and Resolution
Records, as amended from time to time, and in particular as amended by

Ordinance No. 6106, passed and approved by the City Council on the 29th
day of March, 1961, be, and the same is hereby, amended by making the
changes hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. That Article 7A "T -1" TRAVEL TRAILER PARK, MOBILE
HOME PARR, AND MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION DISTRICT be and the same is
hereby amended by adding the following sentence at the end of the paragraph:
"Also all plans for specific construction, alteration, or
extension of a travel trailer park, mobile home park, or mobile home
subdivision shall have been submitted, reviewed, and approved by the
Department-of Public Works according to the procedures established by
the Platting Ordinance and all other applicable ordinances of the City
of Corpus Christi before a permit is issued by the Building Official."
SECTION 3. That Subsection 7A -2 -03 MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION,
be amended by deleting Paragraph (c) in its entirety and substituting
the following in lieu thereof:
"(c) The area of a•lot :.n a mobile home subdivision shall
be 6,000 square feet. A minimum lot: size requirement does not app�y
as such if a mobile home subdivision is developed under the regulations
of Article 28, Planned Unit Development, of this ordinance."
SECTION 4. That Article 33, Permits, Plats and Filing Fees,
be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 33 -1 by adding
the words "and no mobile home shall be placed on any lot" following the
word "enlarged" in the second line of the first paragraph, said first
paragraph to hereafter read as follows:
"No building shall be erected, constructed, altered, moved,
converted, extended, or enlarged and no mobile home shall be placed on
any lot without the owner or owners first having obtained a building
permit therefor from the Department of Public Works, such permit shall
require conformity with the provisions of this Ordinance. When issued,
such permit shall be valid for a period of six months."
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 6. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus christi, which publication shall con-
tain the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.

SECTION 7. That the necessity of immediately making the afore-
said change for the purpose of maintaining at all times a comprehensive
zoning ordinance for the City of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency
and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date
of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension
of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the
date of_its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED,

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; 1, THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL.
