HomeMy WebLinkAbout11320 ORD - 02/21/1973JRR:ml:2 -19 -73 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 3, TO THE CONTRACT WITH BURTEX CON - STRUCTORS, INC.; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND $2,236 TO COVER THE COST OF SAID CHANGE ORDER APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220 -70 -113; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No. 3, in the amount of $2,236, to the contract with Burtex Constructors, Inc.; appropriated out of No. 220 Street Bond Fund, applicable to Project No. 220 -70 -114. SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize the aforesaid Change Order in order that the work may continue in the area without delay, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three severel meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested that such Charter rule be suspended and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this theaZ� day of February, 1973.
