NETEK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVE14ENTS TO CITY DOG POUND; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPRO- PRIATING OUT OF NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 3629, CODE 502, $28,000 OF WHICH $27,590 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND $410 IS FOR CON- TINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS .CHRISTI, TEXAS SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with E. J. Netek Construction Company for the construction of improvements to City Dog Pound, all as is more fully described in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of E. J. Netek Construction Company, opened on the 14th day of March, 1973, the said bid of E. J. Netek Construction Company.. being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $28,000 out of the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 3629, Code 502, of which $27,590 is for the construction contract and $410 is for contin- gencies and incidental expenses. SECTION 3. The necessity to execute the aforesaid con- tract and to appropriate the stuns hereinabove set out at the earliest possible date so that construction may commence, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date 11394 of its introduction and take effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the,22;d— day of March, 1973.
