HomeMy WebLinkAbout11410 ORD - 03/28/1973SJRR:jkh:3- 28 -73; 1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE GRANT AGREEMENT HERETOFORE ENTERED INTO BETWEEN TIT FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY AND THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI BY AUTHORITY OF ORDINANCE NO. 9482, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 10, 1969, BY DELETING PARAGRAPHS 9 (h) AND 10 FROM THE SAID GRANT AGREEMENT, APPLIC- ABLE TO PROJECT No. 9 -41- 156 -7008, CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Grant Agreement heretofore entered into between the Federal Aviation Agency and the City of Corpus Christi by authority of Ordinance No. 9482, passed and approved by the City Council on September 10, 1969, be and the same is hereby amended by deleting from the Grant Agreement paragraphs 9(h), relating to relocation of FM 763 traversing the southeast clear zone as shown on the Airport Layout Plan for the International Airport, to a location satisfactory to the Administrator of the FAA, the relocation of the road not being necessary for proper operation of the navigation aids at the Airport, and deleting paragraph 10 of the aforesaid Grant Agreement so as to allow the City and FAA to close out the Project promptly. SECTION 2. The necessity to make the deletions hereinabove set forth in order that the project may be closed out promptly creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the.suspen- sion of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introductialbut that such ordinance or resolu- tion shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this theU-,4-' day of , 1973.
